ZINGO!

Well, well, well...Johnny Football sure has had a banner year.  The roads are probably clogged with crying Sooner fans, trying to make their way up 35 so they can find solace in their homeland.

Norman: I lived there for 4 years when I was in elementary school.  It doesn't mean I have to claim it.

B and I went to hang out with two of the cutest kids ever because their parents (Aggie Alumni) scored tickets to the Cotton Bowl!  They were both so excited, and then (to add to their excitement) they ended up watching the game in a suite instead of being in the stands with the "commoners."  I'm so glad they were able to go, and that B and I were able to hang out with their kiddos.

We colored, (sort of) watched "Finding Nemo," and I made queso.  Why?  Because you can't watch football without queso.  I think it's a law.  The kiddos had a hodge podge of dinner items, and I spent (literally) 20 minutes trying to get a tiny piece of apple skin out of the tiny space between two 4 year-old teeth.

It's pretty awesome when you and a 4 year-old congratulate each other on having good teamwork skills when the piece of apple finally comes out.  Funny...she didn't really want anymore of her apple after that.

But you know what solves the trauma of getting a piece of fruit stuck between your teeth?  Cookie dough ice cream.  No, really.  It's true.

After dinner, three of us put on our jammies (one was already a step ahead of the rest) and B got wrapped up in a game of Princess Yahtzee while I played  "Uno Moo" with a sweet little 2 year-old.  We made up our own rules, and wouldn't you know it?  He won every single time.  He got so excited, shrieking, "I the winner!"

Priceless.  Then came Zingo!  He and I played a couple of rounds, until the other two figured out what we were playing.  What happened next was nothing short of hilarious.  Picture children (2, 4, & 7) and myself playing a form of Bingo where two pictures pop up and you have to grab them first if you have the pictures on your Zingo card.

B is entirely too competitive, and I was playing my card and my little buddy's card to help him along.  And each time he got a match, he giggled and said, "I the winner!" or "Dadgum it!" when someone beat him to it.

I was laughing so hard on the inside.  We read stories, brushed teeth, and B was so kind as to let him try his little sea turtle dream light thingy that he got for Christmas.

When I put him to bed and closed his door, I didn't hear a peep for the rest of the night.  In the meantime, B was on the couch, keeping me updated on the score.  (For the record, it was almost halftime...and OU still sucks)  I should pause here to remind y'all that I am NOT a TAMU fan, but since both teams can't lose, I went with the Texas team complete with new Freshman Heisman winner in lieu of those dumb Okies.

I've been an Aggie supporter (I just can't use the word "fan") exactly twice in my life, and they were both this season: against Alabama and tonight.  I am, however, thrilled that Texas Tech has secured Kliff Kingsbury to lead the Red Raiders next year.  He's very nice to look at, I mean he seems to have a good coaching head on his shoulders.

Funny sidenote: If you type "Kliff Kingsbury" into Google, the first three suggestions that pop us as you type are the following:

Kliff Kingsbury married
Kliff Kingsbury wife
Kliff Kingsbury girlfriend

It makes me laugh, and almost makes me want to click on them...almost.

Enjoy your win, Aggies, and your inflated fan base.  It'll go back to normal tomorrow.

Aubs
