I "heart" the 90s.

I really do.  I was born in the 80s, so I do have quite an attachment to that decade as well, but the 90s?  They were just 10 fabulous years filled with greatness.

A few things that make my life:

- Saved by the Bell.  It's true.  Who hasn't seen every single episode?  At least three times?  I thought so.

- Barcelona Olympics.  The Dream Team.  The gymnastics.  The utter glory.  Favorite games ever.

- 90s music.  I rocked out to the 90s on 9 station on Sirius today while cleaning my house, and do not have the words to express how much I enjoyed my trip down memory lane.

- Super Nintendo.  Yep, for real.  I still have one.  So does my sister.  My kids love to play it, and they're totally impressed that I can beat so many levels.  Score mom points on this one.  All day.

- Flannel shirts, Birkenstocks (with socks), and overly long polo shirts with even longer undershirts.  All gender neutral.  What were we thinking?

- Crystal Pepsi.  Yes, it was an incredible idea.  I miss that stuff...

- T.G.I.F. consisted of Full House, Family Matters, Boy Meets World, or some other equally awesome show.

- Recording songs from the radio onto tapes, literally sitting by your totally awesome boombox waiting to push "record" and freaking out when you heard it so you missed the beginning and had to wait for it to come on again.

- Romeo & Juliet with Leo DiCaprio...and then Titanic.  Both times, his love interests totally gave him the shaft.  Deserved?  Quite possibly.

That's all I have off the top of my head...but I know there are tons more.  What are some of your favorite 90s moments?

So, remember when I did the whole standing backbend, back walkover thing?  My kids didn't think I could do it, so I did.  And it was awesome.  And I could still do it, which is super fantastic because I probably couldn't even attempt it 2-3 years ago.  Anyway, what's not so awesome is that now it hurts to breathe on my left side...so now I'm leaned up against an ice pack, willing it to miraculously heal itself 'cause this is totally ruining my workout trend.

Stupid muscles.  As soon as I have full range of motion, I'm going to verify that I can, in fact, still do a front handspring...because I could 2 months ago.  I'm the most fun!

I spent most of the day cleaning, deep cleaning.  I started with the boys' "area" because it seems to be the most disgusting on the regular.  When I got to the kitchen, I ran out of mopping stuff, I needed to clean the vacuum cleaner (from sucking up 6 gallons of dead pine needles) and I was tired of cleaning.  So, I danced around the kitchen to Vanilla Ice, Color Me Badd, and a ton of other super-awesome 90s artists...and then I decided I quit for the day.

I'll finish tomorrow...because I can!

Aubs
