Imagine my delight when yesterday morning was repeated...almost down to the minute. The only difference between my life and "Groundhog Day" is that I didn't wake up to Sonny & Cher blaring from my clock radio on my nightstand. Why? I don't have a clock radio on my nightstand. I have a bottle of water, a lamp, and B's report card on top of a stack of books I haven't read since I found the charger to my Kindle. But, I digress.
Wake-up time? 11:17 a.m. I might've heard the "Hallelujah Chorus" when B's little face climbed up on my pillows to say hello.
Our day consisted of being social recluses once again, although today, I did open the apartment door. Granted, it was only because the UPS man delivered my k cups, but hey...it's more than I opened it yesterday.
We watched Scooby Doo this morning; a throwback to when the boys were younger and our lives revolved around those meddling kids and their beloved pet. And, much to our surprise, one of our favorite Scooby movies came on directly after. "Scooby Doo and the Cyber Chase" also known as "The VIRUS" by my boys, which (let's be honest) is hilarious to hear them yell, came on, and we haven't seen it in years.
B and I played Headbanz, they played Xbox, I took a shower. All of this is truly exciting news, I know. We watched movies, ate dinner, and stayed inside.
B wanted to try out his new roller blades, but I refused to go outside. If the temperature isn't going over 40, I'm staying in my jammies and hanging out under a blanket with my kindle and a cup of warm goodness.
And that's what I did...except when I took a shower. N was complaining about having too many lazy days in a row. I didn't realize there could be such a thing. We haven't left the apartment since Monday, and I don't necessarily plan to leave tomorrow.
Then again, I might branch out and go check the mail. I know, watch out!
It's really hard to come up with exciting information when you're as boring as I am.
Aubs
